First of all, we must confess our love for Mariah's voice. Her latest album, the Emancipation of Mimi, is a the must-have album of the year. But everyone in the 'Hood agrees that what Mariah really needs to emancipate is her closet. At this time we'd like to enter the photo to the left into evidence as Exhibit A. This photo proves that
Mariah's fashion sense is nonexistent and her stylist must be Stevie Wonder.
Upon closer review, Mariah's style is more Porn Star than Pop Star.

Speaking of Porn, Kirk "Stomp!" Franklin talks about his addiction on Oprah

Kirk Franklin talked to Oprah today about his pornography addiction. What an awkward conversation. The good news is that he has overcome his addiction. He said at one point he would look at porn every day. He also talked about how his addiction impacted his wife.
Hopefully, he hasn't seen any recent photos of Mariah.

Morris Chestnut Divorces Wife
With the recent holiday we almost missed this, and maybe you did too. Leave us a comment and let us know if this is news to you too or if we're on the late boat with this.
Ok ladies, don't get too excited, but Actor Morris Chestnut is divorcing his wife Pam, according to the St. Louis American . A spokesperson for the couple say that the marriage is being dissolved because of irreconcilable differences. As Chestnut transitions back into single life, he'll also be making the transition to television. He is getting his own show on NBC called 'Dante,' where he will play a former NFL superstar whose ego is so big, he is out of touch with reality. Hopefully his on-screen persona won't turn him into a jerk off-screen.

Christina Millian Dating Ray Charles?
Goodbye Nick Cannon, Hello Jamie Foxx. If you haven't heard by now, Christina Millian is rumored to be dating Jamie Foxx. We figured this out back in September when they were photographed together partying at MTV's Video Music Awards. We even dug back in our files to share the photo with you. The couple has been spotted kissing in public and the two were seen in Miami at Empire Events' Secret Society party at BED, where they were joined by former Miami Dolphin OJ McDuffy, basketball legend Julius Irving and New Orleans Saints player Kijana Carter. We're certain Christina's hoping dating Jamie Foxx will help jumpstart her so-called career.

Busta Rhymes gets a Hair Cut
Rapper Busta Rhymes has cut his hair for the first time in 16 years. He traded in his famous locks for a clean Caesar. Busta recently said: "I started growing these in December '89. I was 17. I signed my [record] deal and said I ain't combing my hair no more. I don't have to."

We'll get to see Mr. "Who-Hah!" sporting his new look in his video for "Touch It" in just a couple of weeks.

America's Next Top Model Winner Eva the Diva is celebrating her 21st Birthday in New York today. Eva's guest list, leaked by the New York Post, includes Kanye West, Tyra Banks and Missy Elliott. The paper reported that one of Eva's gifts will be a life-size portrait of herself posing as legendary singer Josephine Baker. Her unconfirmed fiance Henry Simmons will probably be in attendance. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for that engagement ring everyone has been talking about.

Ashanti Should NOT Sing or Dance at her Wedding

Now that Beyonce is taking a break, the unmultitalented Ashanti Douglas is back on the scene. Her new single "Still on It" featuring Paul Wall and Method Man is heating up the airwaves. (The fact that she has TWO rappers on ONE song should tell you that her singing isn't so great) According to insiders, Ashanti has been sporting a rock on her finger courtesy of her man Nelly. She even wore it to the courtroom during the trial of her ex-boyfriend Irv Gotti. We love Nelly's new song 'Grillz,' an anthem praising the removable gold- and diamond-encrusted tooth ornamentation. We think Ashanti and Nelly should exchange iced-out grills instead of a wedding bands, we just pray the bride-to-be doesn't sing or dance durng the ceremony.

According to Inside TV, Tyra's ready to become a BM (baby's mama) to her boyfriend Giancarlo Marcaccini, a 33-year-old entrepreneur and gelato manufacturer. After all, who doesn't love gelato? Yum...Anywho, her man is also a former Italian pro basketball player.

"I want to conquer motherhood," Banks told the magazine.

We know Tyra's in love and all, but there seems to be a little hypocrisy going on here. Tyra is the brains behind America's Next Top Model, so what's up with this photo? Dearest Mary,

Dissing VIBE while accepting our VLegend Award was extremely disappointing. I'm sorry you find your most recent cover insulting. It was definitely not our intention. If you look at the big picture, we've been supportive of your career beginning with the first issue of VIBE in the fall of '92. You've graced our cover seven times, more than any other artist.

Besides your desire to make a private conversation public, your accusations are untrue. How your hair looks on that cover is between you and your hairstylist. I swear, your hairline is no different than the Polaroids you saw at the shoot or the snapshots we printed in my What's Good column. In any case, you felt compelled to speak your peace, and at the end of the day, isn't this truly why we all love Mary in the first place?

One of the hardest things about working at VIBE is not to take things like this personally. For myself and the rest of the edit staff, working here is more than just a job. We take our roles as journalists very seriously, but we're die-hard fans as well. I'd be lying not to admit how hurt we were by the negativity you brought to our celebration, especially since you were being honored. After last year's incident, we went above and beyond to make this year's ceremony drama-free. We did not want to let '04's unfortunate events deter us from our mission to celebrate the best of the best in urban music. It's sad you did not share in this vision with us.

Does Mary J. Blige Hate this Vibe Photo?
According to Dede McGuire on the Doug Banks Morning Show, Mary J. Blige isn't pleased with her cover photo on the December issue of Vibe (it's on stands now). And to make matters worse, even though she received a Vibe Legends Award, she made her feelings known at the Vibe Awards. The taped program airs tonight. When the HollyhoodBuzz team was purchasing the magazine a group of female teenagers looked at the magazine cover and remarked "DANG! What the hell happened to Mary J? She looks like she looks like she got her butt whooped!"

Johnny Gill addresses gay rumors
During a recent interview on Philly's WDAS FM, Johnny Gill described his longtime friendship with actor and comedian Eddie Murphy. Gill said Murphy "is like a brother to me. I've known him since 1983." Gill also assures us that he is 100% "all man" and that there "isn't anything another man can do for Johnny Gill." Did Cosby Show's Rudy steal Moesha's man?
According to this week's National Enquirer, Cosby kid Keshia Knight Pulliam is dating Brandy Norwood's ex-fiance NBA star Quentin Richardson. Sources said Quentin, who plays for the New York Knicks, and Keshia were inseparable at NY's Denimaxx Furs recently. But, according to Quentin's publicist,

"Despite being previously married for the last five years, reports in the news have stated that Laila got a divorce and began dating a high profile actress," read the release from Sports Placement Services on behalf of the 27-year-old.

Mary J. Blige angry with Foxy Brown

According to Supacindyonline.com, deaf Rapper Foxy Brown is salty that Mary J. Blige took her vocals off of a song that they recorded together for Blige's upcoming album 'Breakthrough'.
Blige was upset at Foxy because she went on local radio stations and announced that her and Blige recorded a song for the new album as well as other people Mary would be working with. But Mary J. wanted to keep it a secret until they finished with the album. So she took Foxy Brown off the song entitled "No More Crying" and replaced Brown's vocals with her own, which, according to the producer of the track, doesn't hurt Blige at all being that she wrote Foxy Brown's rap for the song.

Is Halle Berry Prego?

At 39, Halle Berry is rumored to be pregnant with her very first child. According to MTVe.com, MTV's Europe station, Berry's "Baby Daddy" is her boyfriend actor Michael Ealy who recently moved into her Beverly Hills mansion.

Berry's reps didn't get back to inquiries in time to confirm or deny her pregnancy.
If she's not pregnant, we're pretty sure she's trying after telling Oprah in March that, when she turns 40 next August, "If there's no serious man, whoever I'm dating at the time, I'll say, 'Hey, would you like to have a baby? I'll sign a paper that will say I won't ask you for one red cent.'"

Of course there are exceptions to this rule like Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. And let's not forget Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.
But come on, let's face it, lately it really seems like marriage and showbiz just don't mix. According to the AP, after surviving four years, actress Gabrielle Union and her husband Chris Howard, a former NFL running back, are the latest Hollywood marriage victims.

They announced their split today in a statement released by Lisa Kussell, the actress' publicist.

"The couple remains close and asks that you respect their privacy at this difficult time blah, blah, blah," the statement said. Doesn't that statement sound way too familiar?

We loved Gabrielle in "Bad Boys II" and "Deliver Us From Eva." Her upcoming film, "Running With Scissors," will be in theaters soon. Union stars in ABC's "Night Stalker."
