Another One Bites the Dust: Gabrielle Union and Hubby Split
Hollyhood's New Rule: Celebrities should not be allowed to get married.
Of course there are exceptions to this rule like Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. And let's not forget Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.
But come on, let's face it, lately it really seems like marriage and showbiz just don't mix. According to the AP, after surviving four years, actress Gabrielle Union and her husband Chris Howard, a former NFL running back, are the latest Hollywood marriage victims.
They announced their split today in a statement released by Lisa Kussell, the actress' publicist.
"The couple remains close and asks that you respect their privacy at this difficult time blah, blah, blah," the statement said. Doesn't that statement sound way too familiar?
We loved Gabrielle in "Bad Boys II" and "Deliver Us From Eva." Her upcoming film, "Running With Scissors," will be in theaters soon. Union stars in ABC's "Night Stalker."

This breakup is pretty sad. When she was on the the cover of Essence she painted a nice picture, but then again they all do. Speaking of breakups...what's up with Jessica telling Teen People she isn't seperated. Then again lead time to press is 3 months usually...that could be old news!
This is so sad to hear. I thought this was actually a "good" hollywood marriage if there actually is a such thing. Goes to show....all that glitters ain't gold...and on the outside looking in you really never know what is going on.
I wonder exactly how much her success is playing a part in the breakup.
Oh this really sad..real sad. I agree Stars and Stars don't mix, marry yourself a common everyday folk and enjoy wedded bliss. Money, fame, more money and more on top of beauty makes it hard to maintain a good soild marriage. When everything you ever wanted is available to you and you need for nothing you forget how to honestly recognize true love, there is no total satisfaction for the havesonly for the have nots. Cheerish your youth, your health and your mind.
